Job Vacancy: Customer Service Representative

Schedule: 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM (12×36)
Location: Espaço Viver Bem – Praia Brava/Itajaí-SC

Requirements:
– High school diploma

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Job Description:
The Customer Service Representative will provide excellent customer service to clients and healthcare providers for scheduling and authorization of consultations and exams.

Main Responsibilities:
– Process authorization requests for exams and procedures in the network, based on medical orders and contractual coverage.
– Issue in-person service protocol.
– Schedule exams in our own facilities.
– Evaluate the need for reports for requested procedures and analyze audits.
– Check if the medical procedure is listed in the ANS (National Health Agency) roll, and proceed with authorization.
– Check customer’s financial position and print invoices from the internal system.
– Provide information about affiliated clinics and healthcare facilities to clients.
– Scan documents to attach to pending requests for exams and surgeries.
– Forward authorization requests to the department responsible for cost analysis.
– Approve admission and periodic exams (PCMSO).
– Approve exam and surgery forms after medical audit analysis.
– Conduct client triage for in-person service.
– Provide in-person customer service, register complaints, and forward them to the customer service department.
– Contact customers to inform them if the procedure has been denied.
– Use the Unimed Brazil Exchange Manual to request authorizations for beneficiaries.
– Contact Unimed and healthcare providers via chat or phone to apply exchange manual rules and comply with deadlines set by Unimed Brazil.
– Request password anticipation for clients undergoing procedures outside their contract area.
– Request authorization for exchange clients through the integrated Unimed Brazil system for the Origin Unimed.
– Register client and exam information in the TASY system.
– Provide instructions to clients regarding exam preparation.
– Collect relevant information from clients regarding medication use, habits, etc., to assist clinical analysts during analysis.
– Conduct satisfaction surveys with all clients.
– Follow laboratory manuals and protocols.
– Perform routine tasks related to cash handling and forward it to the treasury department.
– Verify pre-scheduled appointments.
– Check eligibility for beneficiary treatment.
– Open customer service with document verification and beneficiary’s updated information.
– Schedule consultations, exams, and procedures according to patient’s needs or doctor’s instructions.
– Deliver preventive exam reports and in-house lab test results, as well as ECG images taken at the clinic.
– Deliver exams from other departments to the respective department.
– Print medical production for beneficiary’s subsequent signature and any relevant material.
– Provide attendance certificates as requested.
– Keep the workspace organized.
– Contact doctors or professionals if necessary for complementary situations related to beneficiary treatment.
– Send daily production to billing.
– Follow up on pending accounts received from billing.
– Provide appropriate containers for requested lab specimen collection.
– Schedule regular appointments for therapy patients or schedule return visits as per professional’s instructions.
– Schedule consultations requested by other departments (with a multidisciplinary team).
– Respond to customer complaints within the specified timeframe.
– Schedule appointments as per patient’s needs or doctor’s instructions.
– Schedule consultations requested by other departments (with a multidisciplinary team).
– Authorize procedures scheduled by other departments.
– Authorize requests for exams and procedures requested by beneficiaries in our own or affiliated facilities.
– Provide medical guide for beneficiary information.
– Verify if the procedure code provided by the doctor is covered by ANS procedures to proceed with authorization.
– Scan documents to attach to pending requests for exams and surgeries.
– Forward authorization requests to the Cost Analysis department.
– Forward requests for medical and specialized audits.
– Contact other Unimed branches via chat or phone to verify beneficiary eligibility.
– Provide in-person customer service, register complaints, and forward them to the relevant department.

Perform any other activities related to their operational unit and the nature of their work, as directed by a superior authority.
