Unimed Litoral is a medical and health care cooperative organization that was founded in 1991 in Brazil. It has been providing its members with high-quality care and support services ever since. The organization works with many different medical professionals to ensure that its members are getting the best care possible. Unimed Litoral is composed of the four local offices located in Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Mineral, and Guaruja, as well as 11 regional centers in the São Paulo area. The cooperative also offers medical services in related areas such as dental, pharmaceutical, physical and occupational therapies, and psychological support, as well as other related services such as the purchase of medication, scheduling appointments, and assistance in the payment of medical expenses. Unimed Litoral operates more than 500 hospitals and medical centers across 17 municipalities in Brazil. Today, it is one of the largest healthcare networks in Brazil, and provides healthcare to over 800,00 members.
