Report to: Contract Inspector Responsibilities: – Provide specialized technical services in the area of Dynamic Positioning Systems (DP) and BLS of client-chartered Relief Ships, including control, execution of technical tasks, advisory, and planning. – Proficient in using office applications such as word processors, spreadsheets, presentation programs, data processing programs, and creating dashboards. – Read and interpret technical documentation in English, including project specifications, diagrams, technical drawings, technical standards, and maintenance and inspection procedures. – Provide technical support to conventional ship management and operation, including analyzing consumption and vessel performance. – Provide technical support to management of bareboat chartered vessels, including monitoring class requirements and pending issues, control and monitoring of vessel maintenance plan. – Conduct onboard technical visits and inspections to investigate complaints about onboard conditions and deliver investigation reports. – Develop technical standards and reports. – Conduct analysis of DP and BLS inspection reports and follow up on observations and pending issues. – Provide technical studies and opinions. – Evaluation of rules and technical consultation with classification societies. – Data collection, preparation, and revision of technical documentation. – Develop and update schedules and performance indicator spreadsheets. – Provide technical support for relief ship management and operation, including technical planning and requesting improvements or changes to plans. – Provide technical support and advice, both onshore and offshore. – Provide operational and technical support, including naval and nautical integrity and compliance. – Participate in investigating accidents involving relief ships, their systems, and specific operations (especially DP and BLS systems). – Support in identifying, evaluating, and managing changes that may affect the operational safety, integrity, or legal compliance of relief ships. – Technical support, such as the development and revision of standards and procedures, checklists, and conditions of DP and BLS systems. – Review technical standards, guidelines, and manuals, develop plans for technical studies, evaluate operational and maintenance procedures, and participate in multidisciplinary working groups for maintenance, inspection, integrity, and compliance studies of DP and BLS systems. – Develop materials for presentations and create dashboards for data analysis and modeling.
