What will you be doing?
Reporting to the Resort Controller, this individual is responsible for administering Accounts Payable for Eldorado Resort by processing invoices and submitting payments with focus on timing and accuracy. Additionally, this role will provide support in other areas within the accounting department as required by business levels and needs. In addition, the Accounts Payable Clerk will:
- Distribute and collect invoices for management approval prior to processing
- Input invoices into system, ensuring accuracy with GL coding
- Communicate with vendors, requesting statements & following up on old/incorrect invoices
- Oversee accounts payable vendors database ensuring information is up to date and accurate
- Respond to vendor inquiries related to invoice/payment status
- Support monthly company credit card expense report (Certify) submission for processing
- Assist with quarterly inventory spot check with F&B outlets
- Administer purchasing of office printing and stationery
- Record electronic payments in accounting system (PVNG) as part of bank reconciliations
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate accounting information as required for the month-end
- Coverage of other positions as required
- Assist with other accounting projects as assigned
What are we looking for?
- Intermediate working knowledge in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and cut-offs
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong administration and organization skills
- Can work independently and in a team environment
- A flexible and adaptable can-do attitude
- Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures preferred
